If things go as planned, the Ambedkar Park here will soon have a full – fledged Science park inside its compound. An amount of Rupees 15 lakhs has already been sanctioned by the State Tourism Department for the Science Park, which is being set up with a goal to educate the children and provide them infotainment. “We are planning to launch the Science Park to attract more visitors as well as to educate the kids. The project has already been sanctioned by the Tourism Department and the funds for the same have been allotted. The entire region of the Ambedkar Park will not be renovated. Only a portion will be used to set up the park,” said Paravoor Municipal Chairman, Valsala Prasanna Kumar. Mr. MK Ramachandran was unknown as a writer till he walked through the Himalayas . He has written three books, out of which the first one – “Uttarakhandilude Kailas Mansarovar Yatra”, won him the State Sahitya Academy Award in 2005. His second book – “Tapobhumi Uttarakhand”, made his name familiar in the Malayalam literary circles. His third book is based on his journey to Eastern Himalayas and Adi Kailas. Rajasthan Governor, Kalyan Singh made a controversial statement during the 26th convocation ceremony of Rajasthan University. He stated that the word “adhinayak” should be dropped from the Indian national anthem. Jana Gana Mana, the national anthem of India was written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore.
