“How to Be a Good Mom to a Rebellious Teenager?”

The relationship that a mother shares with her child is the most beautiful and pure bond in this world. The world is getting a scariest place to live each day by day. In such a scenario, the mothers of this generation have to be a lot more cautious about their teenage kids.

Being a mother is an easy job, but being a good mother to a rebellious teenager is a tough part. Once a child enters his/her teenage era, they tend to stop listening to their parents as they are exposed to the outside world. Their friends, college mates etc become a major part of their world. In such cases, parents tend to lose their bond that they used to keep with their teens.

A mother has to think with her mind as well as her heart while handling a rebellious teenager. She should be strict but at the same time she should be friendly with her kids. Do not be friendly, just for namesake. The friendship between a mother and her child, should make her child feel to approach her and tell her everything openly, regarding any matter.

A mother should be the strongest point of any child, especially during the teenage. She should give them enough freedom to enjoy their life but by staying within the limits. Today, a lot of cases are being reported every day, wherein the kids get involved in drug cases, terrorism, robbery etc. The role of a mother comes along with several responsibilities. She should keep an eye on every action of their kids but without their knowledge. The kids should not feel that their mother is always behind them. This creates a sort of suffocation among the kids.

It is very difficult to handle a rebellious kid as they do not listen to their parents often. In such situations, the role of a mother is very crucial. She should try to understand the problem of her child, sit with them and should discuss about the matter, rather than pretending not to see the issue.

Rebellious teenagers usually do most of the stuff to catch the attention of others. A mother should make them feel that they are doing a good thing (only if what they are doing is right). Such kids react negatively when somebody tries to criticize them. A good mother should always try to appreciate their teens at least once in a day so that it motivates them to go on a right track. In case of expressing any sort of criticism, avoid telling it directly. Make them understand slowly in a loving way about their actions.

Teenage is a period wherein the kids face a college level in their education career. As a mother, you should allow them to select the course of their choice. Do not try to impose your dreams on them. It is a trait of a negative parenting. Support their choice and try to give a wing to their dreams.

A mother should be a best friend more than a parent. She should be the life support of her kids. The love and care of every mother is special in their own ways but try to be friendlier with your rebellious teens, as they require that more from you.
